Why have a beginners’ course?
Sometimes people feel a little uncomfortable turning up to a martial arts school, even though they may have wanted to try something like this for a long time. A beginners course will give you a chance to try Taekwon-Do out at an easy pace with only other beginners on the course, before deciding if you want to continue.

By the end of the course you will know how the main class is run and how to form up and stand correctly and join in with basic training and warm up activities with the whole class. So you won't feel like you don't know what to do.

What we cover at the course:
- Basic stances (how to stand to perfrom basic techniques)
- Basic techniques (easy punching, blocking and, kicking)
- Pad work (kicking and punching pads with the techniques we learn)
- Breaking (For those that want to, we try a simple board break)
- Self Defence (What to do if someone grabs you)
- Theory (A little bit about the history of Taekwon-Do)

Course Duration
The Beginners Course is twice per week for three weeks, there will only be five beginners course sessions, so the final session will be your introduction to your first ever regular training session!.
If you enjoy the course you can join a school which typically has 2 classes per week for 1 1/2 hours each.
