For a full report and photos please see the events page here!

The last of the Nationals Team Trainings

The second training camp was held in Christchurch this weekend (5/6 September). It was a brilliant weekend with lots of students really pushing themselves and learning loads! Some team positions were contested, such as at the 1 Dan Male and Female patterns and Junior Male Blue Belt pattersn spots so our Coach really had his work cut out for him and I don't think any of us envied him the job of making the decisions. Anyway, all selections have now been made, our team is complete and I have put some photo's from the weeeknd below. There aren't quite as many as last time due to Craig and I both being very busy with actual training this time but hopefully you enjoy the ones we did manage to get.

Farewell to Shane Eade

It is with great sadness that we farewell Mr Shane Eade, instructor of the Redwoodtown Club, who passed away in his sleep on the 17th of February 2009. Shane was not only an awesome instructor but an amazing person, a loving son and brother and a devoted and loyal friend.

On behalf of the region I would like to express our condolances to the Eade family. This amazing man will always be a part of us and will always be in our hearts.

The service was held at the Mayfield Chapel in Blenheim on the 20th Ferbruary and in a true testament to Shane's memory, hundreds packed out the chapel for the service.

For more please see the ITFNZ commemorative page.
